ScamCheck FAQ
Is ScamCheck free?+
Yes, absolutely. ScamCheck is completely free, and we built it that way so anyone can use it whenever something feels off — no strings attached.
Can ScamCheck tell me with certainty if someone is a scammer?+
ScamCheck can't say for sure whether someone is a scammer, and we think it's important to be honest about that. What it can do is point out warning signs, explain why they matter, and help you think through your next steps with a clearer head. Think of it as a caring friend who wants you to stay safe.
Do I need a Compass app subscription?+
Not at all. ScamCheck is a standalone tool you can use anytime, with or without a Compass subscription. If you ever want more ongoing support, Compass is there for you. But ScamCheck is free and open to everyone on its own.
When something feels off, check first.
A few minutes of caution can prevent a lot of heartache.
